ITALIA LEGNO ENERGIA final data: 18,000 VISITORS
Highly qualified public and increasingly business-oriented visitors attended the 2019 number one event on heating and woody biomass energy production. The next appointment for the sector is in Verona from February 19 to 22 2020 with the 12th edition of Progetto Fuoco.
The final data of the exhibition featured 18 thousand visitors, 25 thousand square meters of exhibiting area, and a very high degree of satisfaction among the over 180 attending companies of the 3rd edition of Italia Legna Energia. The event, organized by Piemmeti Spa, is the leading 2019 event in Italy on the wood and pellet-heating sector. The exhibition is increasingly market oriented and a reference point for the networking of associations, operators and companies.
The three days exhibition brought together the States General of the wood supply chain, but also the top Italian and foreign brands. The aim is to provide a complete and updated overview on the state-of-the-art and on the production of a sector with a 4 billion euros yearly turnover, and to enhance wood as the first source of renewable energy in Italy.
“The increasing level of specialization of Italia Legno Energia – explains Raul Barbieri, Director of Piemmeti Spa (the Veronafiere company, which in even years organizes in Verona Progetto Fuoco, the most important biomass heating exhibition in the world) – is becoming very evident. The presence of a more qualified and professional public, demonstrates that the exhibition is a great business opportunity. The non-professional visitor is still important: many consumers and enthusiasts have had the chance to see the best products on the market in the exhibition halls. Thanks to a distribution that is now very developed and widespread throughout the national territory, the sector is now able to guarantee a complete offer even outside the exhibition. Therefore, Italia Legna Energia is showing an increasingly business oriented soul focused on the challenges facing the sector”.
The participation of the main trade associations was substantial: AIEL – Italian Association of Agroforestry Energies (technical partner of the event), ANFUS – Italian Association of Chimney Sweepers and ASSOCOSMA – Association of Builders for Accumulation Stoves.
The program of meetings and conferences featured opinion leaders discussing the hot topics of the sector: certifications, incentives, innovation and energy efficiency, and the massive communication campaign ‘Italy renews’, launched for the promotion of woody biomass.
Thanks to the early springtime, the third edition of Italia Legno Energia, in addition to the overview of stoves, fireplaces and sophisticated boilers, highlighted Italians’ passion for barbecue and outdoor cooking. Since the dawn of time, fire has been an element of conviviality. Therefore, its combination with food has an extraordinary appeal.
The new trend of barbecues turning into real small multi-purpose stands, to prepare a lunch or an all-inclusive dinner, has been highly appreciated.
Save the date: the next edition of Progetto Fuoco is scheduled at Veronafiere from February 19 to 22 2020. Meanwhile, the promotion of woody biomass energy continues in 2019 at the Fiera del Levante in Bari with PF Technology – Sustainable heating (September 14-22).
